This 2026 Hallmark Keepsake Ornament features "Blub," a new cosmetic pet, aka "Mob" or mobile entity, in the upcoming Minecraft game, "Minecraft Dungeons II." Mobs are subject to physics, can interact with the environment, and usually drop items when defeated, so they provide no functional benefits to the hero. Referred to internally as "Spicewood," the action RPG dungeon crawler is scheduled to be released on September 29, 2026, and is the direct sequel to Minecraft Dungeons. The exclusive pet can only be obtained by preordering the game or buying the Deluxe Edition. Officially announced in March 2026, during Minecraft Live, the game is set to launch on Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, Windows, Nintendo Switch, and Nintendo Switch 2. Hallmark was the first to "leak" the teaser for this new pet in the 2026 Dream Book. Before the image reveal of Blub, in June 2026, fans speculated that it may be a Deep Dark biome mob that alerts the Warden or potion-brewing companion. "A new threat stirs, ready to descend upon the land and its inhabitants to cause unspeakable mayhem. Fun Fact: Blub was "nearly cut several times," according to Marc Watson, the product manager at Mojang Studios, who works with the New Games team, but they made it a pet after positive feedback from those who saw it.
