What happens when a little boy in a wolf suit is sent to his room for "making mischief?" He is magically transported to the place known as Where the Wild Things Are in this classic children's tale by Maurice Sendak. First published in 1963, the story follows the adventures of Max and his vivid imagination. In this well-known scene, Max has been crowned "king of all wild things" and has called on his fellow creatures for a "wild rumpus."
