QXI1295
Created by Dr. Morbius from plans left by a vanished alien race, Robby the Robot is the most advanced artificially intelligent being ever devised. Part potbellied stove, part stand-up comedian, Robby's looks and personality have made him one of the most memorable and likable characters in movies. In fact, in Forbidden Planet, the 1956 MGM classic in which he debuted, Robby became the first and only "prop" ever to be billed as an equal with the principal actors in a film. In 2004, he was inducted into the Robot Hall of Fame. He remains a true original.
