Rocketed to safely from his exploding home world, young Kal-El was the last survivor of the doomed planet Krypton. Found by a kindly Kansas couple, the boy was raised as their only son. Living on a farm taught him many things about earthly life, perhaps none more important than the small-town virtues of honesty and integrity. Over time he discovered that the rays of the earth's yellow sun gave him a phenomenal array of superpowers - powers he vowed to use to protect and defend mankind. Now, as Clark Kent, mild-mannered reporter, he's a simple citizen of Metropolis - but when danger threatens, this hero bravely rises up to save the people of the world as ... SUPERMAN.
