Harley-Davidson earned its status as an American legend by continuously outdoing the competition. When sporty, overhead-valve British models began to make inroads into the U.S. market, the company responded by introducing the 1957 XL Sportster - the model that ruled the drag strips for more than a decade! Harley-Davidson engineers had converted the V-Twin from the K-Series flathead into the famed overhead-valve 883-cc (55 cubic inch) engine for the Sportster.
This series of Keepsake Ornaments highlights major achievements in the history of Harley-Davidson.
