1994 Simba, Sarabi, and Mufasa, Disney's The Lion King, Magic 1994 Hallmark Keepsake Ornament QLX7516 This 1994 Hallmark Keepsake Ornament features Simba, Sarabi and Mufasa, the lion family from Disney's movie, "The Lion King." Magic Light and Sound activate when you plug the ornament into the socket of a mini tree light string, and press the button on the back to hear an instrumental excerpt from the movie's main theme song, "The Circle of Life" (not for use with blinking lights; use only with standard U.L. listed light strings of 3.5 or 6 volt bulbs). Witness the classic scene when Simba the lion cub was born and introduced as the heir to his father's throne. The continuous light behind them changes automatically to reflect the changing color of the African sky when going from dawn to dusk. The ornament can stand on it's own, or be hung from the top, and the copyright is on the underside of the base. It's packaged in a metallic-gold box and includes instructions. NOTE: This ornament has known issues with not playing the music, and was recalled, but some still work without a problem. Ken Crow has created over 500 hundred Keepsake ornaments during his 40 years as a Master Artist, and worked in several areas, after joining Hallmark in 1979. He's famous for magical, mechanical, and animated Christmas ornaments with moving parts, lights, music, wind-up gears, and turning carousels. Ken retired in 2020 and believed in keeping his "inner child" alive, drawing his inspiration from vintage amusement parks and classic toys.
