Hallmark Keepsake Ornament
1985 Love Wreath
1985 Hallmark Keepsake Ornament
QLX7025
This 1985 Hallmark Keepsake Christmas Ornament is a clear acrylic disc with frosted beveled edge and sunken relief image of a wreath with metallic-gold sentiment in the center which reads: "Christmas happens in the heart." The gold metal cap has a hole in which to insert a standard miniature tree light bulb to create a warm glow. A 6" connector strand is included or you can use the Hallmark legacy cord (sold separately). The ornament is encased in a clear, plastic shell, molded for protection, and packaged in the original green box with arched window in front to see the details.
Fun Fact: This intaglio technique is opposite that of a cameo, which has a raised, outward-protruding design, so when it's viewed from the front, you look through the smooth, clear material and see a detailed, three-dimensional image floating inside.
LaDene Votruba (1938-2023) was a Senior Artist for Hallmark from 1973-2006, when she retired from the Keepsake division, after creating notable designs such as, "The Greatest Story," "Sweet Holiday Harmony," and "The Dancing Nutcracker."
