Hallmark Keepsake Ornament
1985 Grandchild's First Christmas
1985 Hallmark Keepsake Ornament
QX4955
This 1985 Hallmark Keepsake Christmas Ornament features a real, white knitted baby bootie, with a red satin ribbon bow, filled with an alpahabet baby block, blue-eyed doll, a peppermint stick, and a blue book, entitled: "Grandchild's First Christmas." The handcrafted baby shoe is padded with foam at the bottom and the dated copyright is on the back of the book. The "ABC" red, yellow, and green block is meant to look as if it's wooden, as is the doll, which is wearing a green vest, with red hat dated "1985." The ornament is encased in a green plastic tray, molded for protection, and is packaged in the original full color box.
LaDene Votruba (1938-2023) was a Senior Artist for Hallmark from 1973-2006, when she retired from the Keepsake division, after creating notable designs such as, "The Greatest Story," "Sweet Holiday Harmony," and "The Dancing Nutcracker."
