Hallmark Keepsake Ornament
1984 First Christmas Together
1984 Hallmark Keepsake Ornament
QX2451
This 1984 Hallmark Keepsake Christmas Ornament is a chrome, glass teardrop bulb, with metal cap and clear plastic sleeve, featuring two turtle doves. The maroon background goes all the way around and is bordered by red and teal stripes. The imagery is the same on both sides, with the "chrome" doves surrounded by green mistletoe, teal holly, red poinsettias, and red daisies. The caption is printed in teal, above the imagery, and is the same on both sides: "Love...a joy for all seasons." The ornament is dated with "First Christmas Together 1984." at the bottom of both panels. It's packaged in the original "window" box, viewable from all sides, so you can see the entire bulb.
Fun Fact: Turtle doves are not named after turtles but get their name from the gentle, rolling "turr-turr" purring sound of their call. They mate for life, making them a strong symbol for love, due to their devotion.
Disclaimer: As with many older glass ball ornaments, it may have developed "age spots," which is normal with older ornaments.
