This 1984 Hallmark Stocking Hanger features an Appaloosa rocking horse with white mane and tail, wearing a red and green saddle, red bridle and reigns, and festive red "shoes." The rockers are striped red and green and the base is captioned: "Baby's First Christmas," in white. The stocking hanger is encased in a molded plastic tray and packaged in the original full color box.
Fun Fact: The Appaloosa is known for it's spotted coat, striped hooves, sparse mane and tail, loyalty, and versatility. Spanish explorers brought them to North America, in the early 1600's. They were bred for their intelligence, agility, and beauty, but nearly faced extinction in the late 1800's, but the breed had a resurgence in the 1930's.
