This 1984 Hallmark Keepsake Ornament features a jointed, Steiff-looking teddy bear, with a red bow around his neck. He's seated on a red and cream sled, with a ball, mini tree, and five wrapped presents behind him. The sled is dated "1984" in green, on the front, with the sentiment, in red: "Baby's First Christmas," below it. The ornament can stand on it's own, or be hung from the top, and the dated copyright is on the underside of the base. It's encased in a plastic tray, molded for protection, and is packaged in the original full color box.
Donna Lee, the artist, worked for Hallmark from 1958 until she retired in the early 90's, and is best known for creating the beloved Keepsake series, "Nostalgic Houses and Shops," and the unofficial, "Donna Lee Angels."
