This 1983 Hallmark Keepsake Christmas Ornament is shaped like a classic bulb and is part of the Holiday Highlights Collection. It's made of clear acrylic, with a beveled edge on the front and a sunken relief, on the back, of a frosted raccoon, practicing writing his Christmas message to his teacher. He gets the first two tries wrong, with a reversed "r" in the first attempt, and a reversed "s" in the second, but the third time is a charm and is shown in metallic-silver: "Merry Christmas, Teacher! 1983." The ornament is encased in a clear plastic tray, molded for protection, and is packaged in the original box, with full "window" on the front and a die-cut in the shape of the ornament on the back.
