This 1983 Hallmark Keepsake Ornament features a white ceramic heart with holly border on both sides, and hollow in the middle, with a red heart dangling from the center. It reads, "Love 1983," in metallic-gold, on the front, and "Love" on the back with the dated copyright below, in metallic-gold. A red satin ribbon is tied in a bow at the top, which is how the ornament is hung. It's encased in a styrofoam tray, molded for protection, and packaged in the original box with full color lid.
Linda Sickman, one of the original Hallmark Keepsake Ornament artists, started working for Hallmark in 1963 and joined the Keepsake division in 1975. She's best known for her work with pressed tin, folk art, and the series, "Rocking Horse Memories," which ran from 1981-1996. Her most sought-after pieces include the Winter Angel and Americana-style Santa and Mrs. Claus figures.
