Fourth in The Bellringers Hallmark Keepsake series.
This 1982 Hallmark Keepsake Christmas Ornament features a white porcelain bell with gold trim, dated "1982," in metallic-gold, on a red banner enveloping a bouquet of holly leaves and berries. A small brunette angel hangs from a holly wreath with a large red bow on top, and acts as the clapper. She's dressed in a gold robe with metallic-gold accent on the sleeves' hem, and wears a gold, metal halo. Her white wings can only be seen from the back, as they don't fit through the tiny opening. The ornament is also dated in the copyright, on the inside of the bell, in metallic-gold. It's packaged in the original box, with clear, plastic die-cut cover, and has a molded plastic tray, for protection.
Donna Lee, the artist, worked for Hallmark from 1958 until she retired in the early 90's, and is best known for creating the beloved Keepsake series, "Nostalgic Houses and Shops," and "Donna Lee Angels."
