Hallmark Keepsake Ornament

1981 Teacher

1981 Hallmark Ornament

QX8002

This 1981 Hallmark Keepsake Christmas Ornament is an unbreakable, white satin ball with clear, plastic sleeve featuring a dated message panel, with the caption: "For a Special Teacher Christmas 1981." Both panels have a bright red background with a snowflake pattern, bordered in each corner and around the sentiment with green "embroidery" stitches, made to look like leaves. On the bottom, we see yellow and blue books stacked on both sides of the message--the left side has a green and red striped present with white ribbon bow and evergreen branch decoration sitting on top of the books, next to a holly leaf cluster. On the right, a green pencil cup with blue ribbon and holly leaves is on top of the books, filled with three tall candy canes, instead of the yellow and blue pencils laying next to the books. The reverse panel of the ornament shows a hand-knitted stocking, striped with blue, red, yellow, and green yarn, and filled to the brim with three red apples sticking out of the top. To the left, is a potted holly bush, with a blue ribbon bow, sitting on top of a blue book stacked on a yellow book, next to a blue pencil and ruler. To the right, we see a potted red poinsettia, with evergreen branches interspersed, making it look like a pinwheel. It has a yellow ribbon bow and is sitting on top of a blue book, stacked on a green book, next to two pencils. The ornament is packaged in the original "window" box, viewable from all sides, so you can see the entire bulb.
