1981 Skaters Carousel, Carousel #4

Fourth in the Carousel Hallmark Ornament series.

This 1981 Hallmark Keepsake Ornament features a festive carousel with a family ice-skating around the red pole in the center. The red carousel can be spun, manually, with the knob on the bottom. The reflective surface on the floor of the carousel shines and picks up the metallic-silver on their skates. The Mom is dressed in a red bonnet and long, pink dress and coat, with white fur hem. Her hands are kept cozy in a white fur muff and she's keeping an eye on her daughter ahead of her, dressed in a blue coat, red scarf and mittens, with a red and green hat. Dad is in front of his daughter, dressed in a long brown coat, red scarf with green stripes, green hat and green mittens. He's watching his young son, skating in front of him, wearing orange pants, green coast, blue scarf, red hat and red mittens. The canopy of the carousel has raised snowflakes bordering the peak and reads "MERRY CHRISTMAS 1981," along the red rim. The sentiment is repeated twice in metallic-silver, against a blue background, bordered with green at the top. The ornament is packaged in the original metallic-gold box with clear, plastic lid, and green flocked velvet plastic tray, molded for protection.
