1980 Christmas Love

This 1980 Hallmark Christmas Ornament is part of the Tree-Trimmer Collection and features a frosted glass ball, with silver metal cap, and a transparent plastic sleeve printed with a reproduction of a Love-themed Schneeberg collage. The delicate layering of pastel hearts, flowers, pearls, and lace-like borders give the imagery a 3D feel. On the one side, a large white snowflake in the center is the backdrop for the word "LOVE," shown in pale pink, green, and blue, and appears to be sculpted from clay. Pink roses that look like porcelain are in each corner and a large doily-like lace-trimmed heart is on each side of the heart. One has a pink background and the other is baby blue, both with flowers in the center and shiny dots that reflect like gemstones. The other panel has the sentiment: "Love at Christmas...happy moments spent together, memories to be shared forever. CHRISTMAS 1980," in the center of a circle of pastel hearts. The large hearts on both sides resemble die-cut porcelain with stencil-like heart shapes against a red background with pale green border. It's packaged in the original "window" box, viewable from all sides, so you can see the entire bulb.

Disclaimer: As with many older glass ball ornaments, it may have developed "age spots," which is normal with older ornaments.
