This 1978 Hallmark Christmas Ornament is first in the series of Panorama Balls in the Tree-Trimmer Collection.
It features a white ball with gold cap and a metallic-gold framed, clear window to peek into the diorama-style scene of a young ice-skater who's fallen down on a frozen pond. His metallic-silver skate blades have etched a holiday message in the ice: "Merry Christmas 1978." He's dressed in a red coat with green buttons, a matching green scarf, and darker green knit hat with yellow pom pom. A bright red cardinal sits next to a snow-covered evergreen tree on the glitter-covered snowbank alongside the reflective, blue ice. A wooden fence is behind him and the pale blue Winter sky is clear. The ornament has a copyright on the center of the back. It's packaged in the original metallic-gold box, with clear, plastic lid, molded black flocked velvet plastic tray, and the original metallic-gold tag.
