1973 marked the inaugural year of Hallmark Keepsake ornaments, and this white glass ball Christmas ornament stands as a timeless piece of holiday history!
This Hallmark Tree Trimmer Christmas Ornament is a frosted glass ball has a silver cap and a plastic, printed sleeve. It features a manger scene, portraying the Holy Family and sheep in the Bethlehem stable, on one side, and two pink doves on the other. They hover on both sides of a potted orange Christmas tree with a heart overhead, and daisy-type flowers on each side. Crafted with care, it showcases a bright, red background and a folksy, stylized background that swirls with blue, yellow, orange, pink, and purple filigree plumes, reminiscent of the distlefink bird designs of that time. The iridescence carries through to several borders that give a real 70's feel with their bright colors and geometric patterns.
Disclaimer: As with many older glass ball ornaments, it may have developed "age spots," which is normal with older ornaments.
