This 2026 Hallmark Keepsake Ornament features LA Dodgers' elite starting pitcher and designated hitter, Shohei Ohtani, the Japanese baseball player, who's become the focal point of MLB in 2026. Previously part of the Los Angeles Angels and the Hokkaido Nippon-Ham Fighters in Nippon Professional Baseball. His nickname is "Shotime," because he's a superstar with consecutive championship wins and unprecedented stats, often compared to Babe Ruth. The first player in MLB history to: have 50 home runs and 50 stolen bases in a season, unanimously win four MVP's in both the National and American Baseball Leagues, and to sign a seven hundred million dollar contract for ten years--the largest in professional sports history. Since joining the Dodgers, the team has won consecutive World Series titles in 2024 and 2025. Fun Fact: "Decoy," his dog, went viral by throwing a ceremonial first pitch and being the subject of Shohei's children's book.
